Baryon

A baryon is a composite particle made of three quarks in such a way that it is "colorless". A baryon is a particle which interactions with the strong force. Protons and neutrons are baryons. Protons and neutrons bound in nuclei from hydrogen up to the heaviest elements are what are of interest here.
