As a member of the Smoot Astrophysics Group of the University of California, Jon Aymon worked on programming tasks for the Small Superconducting Magnet Cosmic Ray project, the feasibility study for a superconducting magnet for the United States Space Station, the U-2 project measuring the anisotropy of the cosmic background radiation, and the NASA Cosmic Background Explorer Satellite project.
