Cryostat was made by Infrared Labs and has an expected lifetime of 24 hours....
It consists of a vacuum vessel with liquid nitrogen and liquid helium tanks.

A Helium Three refrigerator provides cooling from the pumped helium tank stage to about 0.3 K. The documentation for the Helium 3 refrigerator is in a binder in 106 LeConte.

ADR - Adiabatic Demagnetization Refrigerator is the final stage of cooling and brings the photometer to a temperature of less than 0.1 K. The documentation for the He3 refridgerator and its electronics is in a binder in 106 Le Conte.
