MAXIMA Utility Software
MAXIMA uses a lot of special purpose and utility software that is a part of the intrument testing, data processing and analysis procedures.
The MAXIMA utility software includes
-
Band pass and channel response software that is used to plot out the filter/bandpass response and to convolve important spectra, e.g. flat, CMB, free-free, synchrotron, and dust, in order to estimate the instrument response. Stacy Tanaka uses files on the MacIntosh and application software such as Kalaidoscope. George Smoot has program FILTER and then uses MONGO or SuperMongo.
-
Window function is calculated by special purpose software derived from Martin White.
It is in fortran and called Window_fcn.for
-
Numerical Receipes is a general set of mathematical routines which are often used as subroutines for the various programs used by MAXIMA. These routines are documented in the Book "Numerical Recipes" by Press, Teukolsky, Vetterling, & Flannery, Cambridge Univesity Press - 2nd Edition.
-
AT is the code currently used to calculate the expected emission from the Atmosphere. (Stacy fill in here about documentation.)
