Visiting Scholars Program Page
We have had an active program for visiting scholars
over the year.
Typically one or more senior visitors come and work with the
group during the summer but sometimes during the academic year.
The group has often hosted and continues to host
post docs ,
graduate students ,
and undergraduates .
Typically the visiting graduate students have done the research
for their thesis project in the group
for their Ph.D. or Master's degree.
- Senior Visitors
Many senior visitors come here with their own funding.
Some visitors are able to qualify for travel support
through one of several programs.
There are short term programs, e.g. weeks to summer that are generally
straightforward.
We have also hosted Fullbright Scholars.
There are also senior Miller Research Fellowships and Professorships.
See the Miller Institute
The Miller Professorship Program deadline is September 23 in 2002 and
similar date each year. The Miller Fellowship Program deadline for 2002 is
October 3.
The Visiting Miller Professorship Program must be to the Physics Department
by October 1st and to the program by October 7th.
- Post-Doctoral Positions
Are listed here and some post docs have their own fellowships
and we are able to host them.
- Graduate Student Research Associates
Are listed here. Most foreign students must have their own fellowships
which we are able to act as host.
- Undergraduate Positions
Are listed here. Most foreign students must have their own fellowships

Isabelle Baladie
is an example of a French student who came here
on her university-sponsored (Lyon) program.
Jeanne Miller
or Glenda Fish
usually handles the visa and formal procedures for visitors.
Procedures
will be put on line in the future.
