Workshop Dates


Teachers will participate in a summer workshop with master teachers and scientists from the Berkeley Cosmology Center.

Working in groups with talented high school students, undergraduate students preparing for teaching careers and master teachers will experience a technology rich, project based learning environment. They will be introduced to online resources, support, and tools for teaching.

BCCP scientists, including Nobelist George Smoot, will be available via internet links for school year classroom lessons and teacher colleague presentations.

Teachers are introduced to cosmology and learn how science, engineering, and math concepts create the foundation for student understanding of the structure and evolution of the universe.
