Physics in and Through Cosmology Workshop

On behalf of the Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics (BCCP), students are cordially invited to attend a frontier-science workshop featuring Nobel Laureate, George Smoot (Physics 2006), advanced science information, experiments, and presentations.  This opportunity is brought to you as a result of a partnership with QuarkNet, the BCCP and the Wells Fargo Foundation. Student participants of diverse, ethnic background and gender are encouraged to apply.  Select student participants will be identified as the BCCP/Wells Fargo Foundation Student Scholars.

Qualified students must agree to fully participate in the 10 day workshop starting at 8:30 am and ending at 4:00 pm for each of the program days, Monday to Friday, July19-23 and Monday to Friday, July 26-30.  BART passes and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab bus passes will be issued. Students will also participate in the final, luncheon banquet to receive award certificates.

  1. Download and complete this word document application and submit via email to rjotto@lbl.gov by July 14, 2010. Applications will be considered in order received.
  2. Qualified students will be notified within three days of their application submission by email until all positions have been filled.
